it Works
Vacancies will be advertised using similar methods to private rental agencies or estate agents. Property details, often including a photograph, will be advertised in the following places:
Other information/advertising points are also being explored e.g. supermarkets, doctors surgeries etc.
Adverts state the property size, type and location, will be labelled with a "band" identifying who may apply and may include a registration date, for example:
3 BEDROOM HOUSE, ANY ROAD.
Applications considered from people in Band 2 who have been waiting since 1997.
Applicants bid for properties they wish to be considered for. This can be done in one of the following ways:
- In person at the HomeChoice Property Shop
- By phone to the HomeChoice Hotline: 0800 0852767
- By post to HomeChoice, 1 Grove Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 4TW.
All bids must be received by noon on Wednesday when bidding closes.
The successful applicant is an eligible bidder who has the longest registration date of all the eligible bids.
